Objectives

 

MH CPD aims to extend GP skills and knowledge in assessing, treating and managing mental illnesses in general practice.

Accreditation process

 

Please note: Training providers are not required to complete the MHST application form for GPMHSC accreditation.
 

RACGP accredited courses

 
  1. Training providers are required to mark MH CPD under the Specific requirement eligibility section of the activity notification form.
  2. The RACGP CPD state faculty program coordinator will flag the request for MH CPD accreditation to the GPMHSC.
  3. The GPMHSC will review the content of the activity and then notify the training provider of the outcome within 2–4 business days upon receipt.
 

ACRRM accredited courses

 

Training providers are required to send a written outline of the activity’s content to the GPMHSC, explaining how it relates to mental health and general practice. The GPMHSC will review the content of the activity and then notify the training provider of the outcome within 2–4 business days upon receipt.
 

Outcomes

 

Training provider can use GPMHSC approved logo on advertising and marketing materials.
