New Productivity Commission Inquiry to shine a light on mental health
The Australian Government will establish a Productivity Commission Inquiry into the role of mental health in the Australian economy and the best ways to support and improve national mental wellbeing.
This comprehensive inquiry will highlight the impact of mental illness on the economy, including the effect it has on individuals’ incomes, living standards and physical wellbeing. It will also provide recommendations on how the government can most effectively improve the mental health of the population.
