New carer resource available for suicide prevention
SANE Australia in collaboration with research partners University of New England and University of Sydney have developed a new interactive, evidence-based suicide prevention resource.
You are not alone gives information and tools to carers throughout the many stages of supporting someone who has attempted suicide, or is at risk of doing so. The resource’s non-linear navigation allows people to find advice that is relevant to them at any time during their carer journey.
GPs can also access the stakeholder pack which contains additional information that complements the online resource. It is designed to be shared with local community networks to ensure carers can access the guidance and support they need.
